Product Demo Video – LoadStorm

We created a brief video that shows the main screens in our load testing tool. The video explains the primary navigation and what features are available on each tab.

The application has a Build tab where you can create test plans. Plans contain scenarios, and scenarios contain steps. Each test scenario corresponds to a type of user on your site. For example, you may create a test plan with 3 scenarios:

  1. Login and post comments
  2. Anonymous browsing of a product catalog
  3. Shopping cart experience with credit card purchase

Each of these scenarios can be assigned a value to control the percentage of traffic allocated to each user type during the test. You may want to have 75% of your traffic as anonymous browsing, while 10% are purchasing, and 15% are posting comments.

LoadStorm also has a Run tab where you initiate a load test execution. You can set parameters such as starting volume and peak volume, test duration, and scheduled start time for when the test should begin.

The Analyze tab allows you to see the results of each test run. There are graphs showing key metrics like Requests per Second and Average Response Time. There are also tabular reports showing the slowest responding pages, errors generated, and a summary of all requests/responses. For complex analysis, you may download a spreadsheet file containing every request and corresponding response throughout the test.
