I found an interesting blog post today through a tweet that HootSuite found referencing LoadStorm. It is cool to see someone blogging about using our load testing tool.
The writer is Roger Jennings who is a 30-year veteran of the programming and management with current specialties in Windows Azure, .NET and OData Oriented. He is a prolific tech writer and has published over 30 books on Microsoft operating systems (Windows NT and 2000 Server), databases (SQL Server and Access), .NET data access, Web services and InfoPath 2003.
Here a couple of pertinent quotes from Roger’s blog post:
The first test increased from 5 to 25 users over a period of five minutes and executed Next Page and First Page commands for each user session. …I plan to try additional tests later this week with more computationally intensive operations, such as deleting and recreating the 91 customer records. Stay tuned.
The article is short, but please check it out at Load-Testing the OakLeaf Systems Azure Table Services Sample Project with up to 25 LoadStorm Users
I’ll need to do more digging to locate more info on OakLeaf Systems because my Google searching drives everything to their Blogspot site, and I’m not sure the Oak Leaf Systems Inc. that I found in Caribou, ME is the same company because it doesn’t mention Roger anywhere. Also, the blog has this to preview the company:
OakLeaf Systems is a Northern California software consulting organization specializing in developing and writing about Windows Azure, SQL Azure Database, SQL Azure Data Sync, Windows Azure Platform Appliance (WAPA), Windows Phone 7, LINQ, ADO.NET Entity Framework, OData and WCF Data Services (formerly Astoria), Microsoft Synchronization Framework, SQL Server 2005+, SQL Server CE, .NET database, and Web services projects.
Maybe I should see if Roger needs some extra free vusers to make his load testing more interesting.
