LoadStorm does NOT rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
- We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of LoadStorm’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. An example of such illegal activity is using LoadStorm to execute a denial of service attack on someone’s web site.
- We provide the information to trusted partners such as performance engineers, testing professionals, or consultants who work with or on behalf of LoadStorm under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your information to help with load testing services or support. These companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
- We transfer information about you if LoadStorm is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, LoadStorm will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- We respond to some form of court order, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
LoadStorm requires only a few pieces of information such as name, email address, password, and time zone when you register for a free account. The sign up form may collect other information such as phone number.
For premium accounts, we may collect additional personal information such as credit card number that is required to process the payment transaction. Credit card number is passed on to our payment processor, but we do not store it in our system. We will NEVER ask for your Social Security number, information about your assets, or other sensitive financial data.
LoadStorm captures information about your load test plans and results. LoadStorm may set and access cookies on your computer only for use by our web application. We use such information for the following general purposes: to fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the LoadStorm service, such as new release announcements, administrative messages, newsletters, and special offers that are considered part of your LoadStorm account.
You can delete your account, opt-out of marketing communications, or change your personal information by sending us an email to [email protected].
We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.
LoadStorm may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your LoadStorm account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
