Ready for this week’s web performance statistic? According to the Mozilla Blog of Metrics, they can drive an additional 60,000,000 Firefox downloads per year by making a few minor tweaks to their top landing pages.

Mozilla’s blog says the only tweaks necessary to get 60 million more downloads are speed enhancement changes. They predicted a 2.7% conversion increase with a 1 second reduction in page load speed. There results were even better than that because their downloads went up 15.4% by shaving 2.2 seconds off the average page load time.
