Work Entirely in the Cloud

No hardware to purchase

You don’t have to purchase large servers and have a whole testing lab set up on site to be able to run a large load test. The cost of a large, on site set up to run a load test of 100,000 concurrent VUsers can be tens of thousands of dollars and by using the power of Amazon EC2 cloud servers, LoadStorm LITE is able to run load tests of up to 350,000 concurrent VUsers without any hardware.

No software to download

Easily access the LoadStorm LITE platform immediately after activating your account. No long download or install process before you can begin testing.

Test from anywhere

Our cloud platform allows you to test from any computer with internet access. Therefore, if your company has professionals in America and Germany, both teams can be working on and reviewing the same load testing results.

Easily Build Scenarios

LoadStorm LITE allows you to build custom scenarios without any scripting language. Use our simple step-by-step scenario builder to complete actions like open a new page, click a specific link, click a random link, or submit a form. Build a scenario for each user type (or specific traffic pattern) you want LoadStorm LITE to take. For example, an e-commerce site would have scenarios for users:

  • Only browsing items
  • Searching for products
  • Browsing and viewing product detail pages
  • Adding items to a shopping cart and abandoning
  • Comparing selected products in a grid
  • Logging in to an account
  • Completing checkout

Allocate Percentage of User Types

In order to represent real traffic hitting your website or application, LoadStorm LITE allows you to allocate the percentage of VUsers you want to complete each scenario. By using Google Analytics or a similar tool to measure the real user behavior on your application, you can anticipate what percentage of traffic will fit into each scenario of behavior.

Using the example scenarios outlined above for an e-commerce application, sample traffic allocations would be:

  • 40% Only browsing items
  • 10% Searching for products
  • 25% Browsing and viewing product detail pages
  • 15% Adding items to a shopping cart and abandoning
  • 5% Comparing products
  • 2% Logging in to an account
  • 3% Completing checkout

Customize Requests for VUsers

LoadStorm LITE allows you to customize behaviors for each individual VUser. This allows your virtual users to behave like real users by having each one submit forms with unique values from an uploaded CSV file. This can be used for:

  • Login with usernames and passwords
  • Create new accounts
  • Completing checkout process
  • Searching by unique terms
  • Substituting query strings values

Scale Up to 350,000 VUsers

By utilizing the elasticity of the Amazon EC2 cloud, LoadStorm LITE is able to affordably run load tests up to 350,000 concurrent VUsers.

The LoadStorm LITE free account allows you to run tests up to 25 concurrent VUsers. If you need to run larger tests, it is easy and affordable to scale up your tests. You may buy only the users you need for a single test (Storm on Demand) or buy a monthly subscription that lets you run many tests for a fixed price.

LoadStorm LITE also allows you to run load tests up to 6 hours in duration. Need to run a soak test of over 6 hours? Check out LoadStorm PRO to run tests with longer duration.

Review Performance Reports

LoadStorm LITE produces graphs that allow you to easily see the results of the load test. Performance metrics reported include:

  • User Load
  • Throughput
  • Requests per Second
  • Peak Response Time
  • Average Response Time
  • Error Rates

Additionally, LoadStorm LITE allows for drill down to view each request by elapsed time, each request by error code, and each request by response time. This will allow you to see which requests are slowing down the application and which requests are returning errors. You can also export all requests and responses as a CSV file for full analysis.

Looking for more detailed reporting and analysis for your load testing? LoadStorm PRO offers in-depth, interactive graphs and extensive drill down to find the performance problem areas in your application.
